Refund policy

This Return and Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which products purchased through Dexon may be returned or refunded.

Dexon provides smartphones through instalment payment plans. Devices remain the property of Dexon until the payment plan has been completed in full.


1. Cooling-Off Period (Online Purchases)

In accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, customers may cancel an online order within 7 days of receiving the device.

To qualify:

  • The device must be returned in original condition

  • All packaging, accessories, and documentation must be included

  • The device must not show signs of damage or misuse

Customers may be responsible for the cost of returning the device.


2. Faulty or Defective Devices

If a device is faulty upon delivery, customers must notify Dexon within 48 hours of receiving the device.

Dexon may:

  • Replace the device

  • Repair the device

  • Provide a refund where required by law

This is in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, which provides a 6-month warranty against defects.


3. Returns After Activation

Once a device has been activated and used, returns may only be accepted if the device is defective.

Dexon does not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind after activation

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Accidental damage

  • Software issues caused by the user


4. Refunds

Refunds will only be issued under the following circumstances:

  • The order is cancelled within the 7-day cooling-off period

  • The device is confirmed to be faulty and cannot be repaired or replaced

  • The order could not be fulfilled by Dexon

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after the returned device has been inspected.


5. Instalment Agreements

Devices purchased through a Dexon payment plan remain the property of Dexon until all payments have been completed.

If a customer chooses to cancel their agreement after the cooling-off period:

  • The device must be returned to Dexon

  • Any outstanding fees may still apply according to the agreement terms


6. Condition of Returned Devices

Returned devices must:

  • Be free of cracks or physical damage

  • Not be locked or linked to any personal accounts

  • Include all original accessories (charger, cable, box)

Dexon reserves the right to refuse a refund if the returned product does not meet these conditions.
